My Teacher's Spoken English

Motion and Second from Teaching Council to change the current question from "Overall, I would rate my instructor's spoken English..." to "I can understand my instructor's written and spoken English."

Motion to amend motioned phrase to say: "My instructor is fluent in English" rather than "I can understand my instructor's written and spoken English." Seconded.

Amendment of motion passed.

VII. New Business

A. General Admissions Amendment - Suzanne McCray

Attachment

Keep 3.0 and 20 ACT in place for Arkansas students. But would like to raise the standards for out-of-state students as needed (based on demand). Want to ensure a 50/50 split of Arkansas students to out-of-state students.

UCPC concerned that Course proposals/major changes are sometimes submitted without a syllabus. UCPC expects a standard syllabus with objectives, the readings, course materials and so on.
