V. Reports

A. Provost, Ashok Saxena

Safety problem in a building.  Considering not allowing purchase of hazardous chemicals on P-cards to allow for monitoring of what is purchased.  Add safer practices without additional administrative burden.  Budget presentations are underway from the colleges, nearly complete- around mid March.  Priorization will follow, with some new money available for new initiatives.  Budget outlook- most likely no loss but unclear if we would get any new money.  Health insurance dependent verification- AON is only collecting the information and does not remove insurance.  AON sends a list to HR who removes the claimed dependent.  There is an appeal process.  QA- generally these audits find 5% that should not have been on the plan and the consulting fee is a percentage of the savings.
