A. Vice Chair Elections - The following served on the Nomination Committee for the Vice Chair Election: Curt Rom, Neil Allison and David Gay.

Two individuals were nominated: Joel Freund and Terry Martin. No further nominations were made. The procedure for voting mimicked the Faculty Senate rules for replacing a vacancy in the office of Vice Chair of the Campus Faculty. Our rules are silent about filling a vacancy in the office of Faculty Senate Vice Chair. After a vote counted by Linda Jones, Kevin Hall and Doug Rhoads, neither candidate received a total of 24 votes needed to elect him to the position. A motion was made, seconded and passed (during the announcements) to hold the election electronically so that all Senators will have an opportunity to vote. This process will be set up by Doug Rhoads. A Vice Chair should be elected by our next Senate meeting.
