Steve Sheppard, Honorary Degree Policy Recommendations

At our January meeting, Professor Sheppard spoke of several policy recommendations with regards the Honorary Degree Committee. Briefly, they spoke of concerns with Board Policy 505.3; they seek to have the Chancellor waive the requirement that an honorary degree recipient also be expected to be a speaker at commencement; they seek clearer language on the merits and expectations of potential recipients.
